PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT POLICY


The purpose of this policy is to prevent possible dangers that may arise in the workplace at their source and to protect the employee. For this reason, all ARTENG YAPI employees are subject to the following items.

  • Personal Protective Equipment used for the relevant department is delivered to all personnel on the date of employment, with an embezzlement report.
  • Within the Annual Training Plan framework, all personnel will receive training on the use of personal protective equipment at certain periods.
  • Electrical and Repair-Maintenance personnel will use the protective equipment provided to them during the whole working period.
  • Ear protectors should always be used where the sound level is above acceptable standards.

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY


  • In our company, all of the recruitment, remuneration, promotion, and dismissal processes are carried out according to the employee's competencies, knowledge skills, and performance. Apart from this, religion, language, race, gender, sexual orientation, physical appearance, political thought, etc. No factor is effective in these processes.
  • While wages are determined according to the person's competence, knowledge, skills, and performance; A policy of equal pay for equal work is adopted. No gender discrimination can be made during the determination of wages.
  • A pregnancy test cannot be applied to female personnel at the time of employment; No disturbing questions about private life may be asked.

 

Employees can follow different ways to report any behavior listed above and similar. Wish-Complaint Boxes in various parts of the company are one of these methods. These boxes are opened weekly by the Human Resources Manager and the complaints are kept completely confidential and the investigation process is initiated. The person who will make a complaint can also reach the management through worker representatives or unit supervisors, depending on the situation. Our company also implements an "Open Door" policy for all our personnel.

HAZARD AND RISK ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE


1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure; As ARTENG YAPI is to determine the potential hazards that may occur during the activities of ARTENG YAPI and the risks associated with them, to ensure that the methods and principles regarding the control of the expected or possible risks are systematically defined, thus minimizing the work accidents and occupational diseases to minimum levels.

2. SCOPE

This procedure covers all office, production , and service areas of ARTENG YAPI.

3. DEFINITIONS

  • Hazard: A potential source or situation that could cause injury to people, illness, damage to property or material, damage to the workplace environment, or a combination of these.
  • Hazard Identification: The process of recognizing the presence of a hazard and describing its characteristics.
  • Risk: The combination of the probability of occurrence of a hazardous event and its consequences.

(Risk = Probability x Effect).

  • Risk Assessment: The entire process is used to estimate the magnitude of the risk and decide whether the risk can be tolerated.
  • Tolerable/Acceptable Risk: Risk is reduced to a level that the organization can tolerate, by legal obligations and its own OHS policy.
  • Accident: An undesirable event that results in death, illness, injury, property damage, or other loss
  • Incident: An undesirable event that causes or has the potential to cause an accident. Events that occur without causing illness, death, injury, damage, or other loss are defined as “no damage”. Incidents also include 'undamaged events'.

4. RESPONSIBILITIES

All personnel working at all office, production at ARTENG YAPI are responsible for the implementation of this procedure

5. PROCEDURE FLOW

5.1 GENERAL

People engage in many economic activities to maintain their lives and meet their needs. Increasing population and developing needs necessitate abundant and diverse production of needed goods and services. During these production activities, people working are faced with a wide variety of health and safety hazards.

There is a need for systematically identifying hazards and assessing risks to be protected from these hazards and risks.

5.2 WHY AND WHEN SHOULD RISK ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT BE DONE?

  1. at start to work
    • Immediately after the establishment of the workplace and starting production, or
    • or if the workplace has been established before and risk analysis and assessment studies have never been carried out,

  • If a new and serious danger arises, or

Depending on the nature of the hazards arising from the workplace and the affected area and the risks arising as a result of these hazards and the degree of change in activities or work.

 

RISK ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ITS WORK?

Every employer; is responsible for ensuring that a Risk Assessment is carried out in a way to covers all phases of the working life of the work equipment, raw, semi-finished products, finished materials, and the construction and execution techniques of the work, starting from the location selection of the workplace, including the hazardous areas and the affected area.

Hazard and risk assessment is carried out in our workplace as follows:

  • As ARTENG YAPI Risk Analysis studies prepared by ARTENG YAPI middle-level officials will be continuously monitored and continuously improved by Occupational Health and Safety Officers to be appointed from each unit in the continuation of the process.
  • The identified risks are acceptable. It should be monitored continuously until it is reduced to an acceptable level.
  • If the risks are reduced to an acceptable level, the continuity of the measures taken should be monitored in order not to increase their probability and severity.
